Rock Creek BouldersDeep in the forest's of the Columbia Gorge you will find the Rock Creek Boulders, a unique andesite boulders that are of the best quality tucked under a canopy of maple and cedar trees.
InformationSeldom visited, but not for lack of quality, the RCB site is mainly ideal in July-August (on the hottest days of the year) when you cannot boulder anywhere else.
Tucked alongside a nearby creek is a string of quality andesite stones of varying height, conveniently near a back country gravel road. The boulder problems tend to be ideal in mid summer because the creek water flow is lowest, and all the humidity is zero. Some boulders are fairly slick due to the yearly winter stream flows abrasive weathering processes. |
