- Bouldering Pads are highly recommended for outdoor bouldering areas as their purpose is to protect against direct impact with the ground surface.
- Chalk bags and or chalk pots are also used to help promote grib by eliminating moisture on your hands. Typically chalk bags are used for high boulder problems and pots for short problems or passed among multiple climbers.
- Bring food and water as the are not available at the bouldering areas.
- Back packs and or bags of some form are very good for storing all of your personal items in while at the bouldering location.
- The proper clothing for the changing conditions of the seasons is key to staying comfortable at the bouldering site.
- Some bouldering sites require hiking across lots of different terrains so be sure to bring a pair of quality shoes as it will be very important.
