Empire Boulders

A hidden gem of the Columbia River George.

Information

The Empire Boulders is one of this regions unique bouldering havens in that is offers a concentrated grouping (packed into about 800' square) of boulder problems (VB-V12+) of every type imaginable, from slabs, faces, power overhangs to aretes.

This stellar little site has numerous modest shorties up to 9'-12' tall, but many problems range even up to a beastly 33' hi-ball tall status.

The site has over 300 problems, with boulders and outcrops with every style of problem imaginable, from crimps, power, core, thuggish, to delicate hi-ball dances.

Most problems have flat soft grass or dirt landings (very unlike many other rocky talus bouldering sites in this region).

All grades and all types of bouldering are hear for all skill levels and sizes of climbers.

Boulders here can be quite large so prepare for tall problems with great landings.
